Practitioner training offer

The Community Shares Unit trains and licenses Community Shares Practitioners to award the Community Shares Standard Mark.

Becoming a Community Shares Practitioner

Community Shares Practitioners are assessed and accredited at two levels. 

  • Registered practitioners are deemed competent to provide community shares advice, guidance and mentoring to new and established community enterprises.
  • Licensed practitioners are additionally accredited to conduct Community Shares Standard Mark assessments on behalf of the CSU.

Training workshops only

There is also the option to engage with the training programme to improve your knowledge of community shares before committing to any future assessments and accreditations. 

We will release details of a new programme later in 2020 / early 2021. 

  • The 2020 programme and assessments will be delivered online with remote participation and online assessments.
