Appointed during the pandemic and now firmly embedded in Co-operatives UK, our CEO, Rose Marley, will share her observations after speaking to a myriad of societies and co-ops at her monthly surgery sessions, meetings and visits over the past 12 months. Rose will explore key challenges and share her vision for co-operatives in 2022. Join us for this interactive session as we reflect on what the future holds for organisations working even harder towards a fairer economy for all.

About the facilitators
Rose Marley, CEO, Co-operatives UK
The founding Chief Executive of Manchester-based social enterprise SharpFutures, Rose is passionate about supporting diverse, young talent in the creative, digital, tech industries and encouraging those voices in the co-op and society sector. She is currently the chair of the Social Enterprise Advisory Group for the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, an RSA Fellow as well as an advisory board member for SODA (School of Digital Arts). Rose has had an eclectic career which began in the music sector, diversified into high-profile local authority programmes and now hitting even higher notes in the co-operative sector.
Gareth Wright, Member Relations Co-ordinator, Co-operatives UK
Gareth has been finding solutions to common business needs for almost 20 years. He’s worked with clients from a range of sectors in the UK and across Europe. Since joining Co-operatives UK in 2012, he’s been working directly with our members to ensure they have access to practical advice and guidance. He also delivers training and hosts local networking events. Gareth is never too far from co-ops, as he’s an active member of his local credit union, a co-op pub and a brewery. In his spare time, you’ll find him walking in the hills or riding one of his bikes.
