Taf Fechan Housing Co-operative

The Taf Fechan Housing Co-operative is run by the tenants who live in the apartments. If you are successful in your application to be housed by the Taf Fechan Housing Co-operative, you will need to become a member and become actively involved in running the co-operative.

Being a member of a co-operative means that you have the right to live in your property according to your tenancy agreement in the same way you would with any other landlord. You have the right to a comprehensive repairs and maintenance service, the right to request details about your rent and be informed with due notice of any increase. But in addition and most importantly, you have the right and duty to make decisions.

This is a great opportunity to help create sustainable communities and to build links with your co-op neighbours, and other community organisations, such as the Gellideg Foundation Group. You will receive training to enable you to manage your co-op, providing you with useful skills that can be transferred into other areas of your life.
