Braemar Community Hydro

Braemar Community, a charitable trust established for the benefit of the community, has undertaken all the preparatory work to bring this project to fruition.

The project will be developed by the newly formed Community Benefit Society – Braemar Community Hydro – which will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the installation.

Installation will be managed by a specialist hydro installer under contract from the Society, appointed by tender.

The hydro generator will occupy land which is leased from the landowner, Mar Estate. This lease will also cover all land directly associated with the project.
