This Pride in Place Programme toolkit is for neighbourhood boards receiving funding from the UK government's Pride in Place Programme. It will help boards to explore a co-operative approach to ensure that decision-making is shaped by the local community.

This free Pride in Place Programme Toolkit is for Neighbourhood Boards receiving funding through the UK government’s Pride in Place Programme.

It helps boards explore a co-operative approach to governance and decision-making, supporting the programme’s expectation that local plans are shaped by the communities they are designed to benefit.

Alongside the toolkit, Co-operatives UK has published separate template Terms of Reference for Neighbourhood Boards that want to work co-operatively from the start. They reflect co-operative values and principles while helping boards meet the governance requirements of the Pride in Place Programme.

You can also get support from Co-operatives UK’s advice team, access free resources and read case studies to explore embedding a co-operative approach for your Neighbourhood Board. Visit our Pride in Place hub for more information.

The Pride in Place Toolkit has been produced by Co-operatives UK and grant funded by The Co-operative Bank.
