Yorkshire Community Woodland Society

We aim to reconnect local people with woodland by promoting and facilitating community ownership and access to woodland. Guided by the principles of earth care, people care and fair shares, we promote and provide education and skills relating to woodlands, sustainable land management and the natural environment, and work to manage woodland sustainably, in a way that increases biodiversity and has a positive impact on the environment. We want people to be able to spend meaningful time in woodland, to improve health and well-being, and provide routes to sustainable livelihoods.
