Urmston Allotments and Gardens Society

The Society was first registered on 23rd March 1916 as an Industrial and Provident Society; this was eventually incorporated into the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014.

The Society is a not for profit organisation therefore any profits made by the Society will generally be used to further the objects of the society by being ploughed back into the business.

Currently UAGS manages 8 allotment sites across Flixton and Urmston, 7 of these are leased from Trafford Borough Council. The Society owns and manages Laneheads outright, an allotment site that has 28 half size plots plus a number of garages, just off Alderley Road, that are rented out to members of the public at a competitive rate, please email us if you are interested in going on the waiting list.
