Torridon Management Organisation

Torridon House is a nine storey block of flats and maisonettes, located on the outskirts of Maida Vale in NW6. It was built by the Greater London Council in 1967 and taken over by Westminster City Council when the GLC was abolished in 1982.

In 1988, representatives from the tenants' association attended a meeting to discuss the issues surrounding tenant management. This led to three years of development and training and, on 1 July 1991, the residents of Torridon House took over responsibility for managing our block. We became the second Co-op to be established in Westminster.
