Steeple Ashton Village Shop Association

Set up in 2005 with a combination of funding from a rural renaissance grant and money donated by locals to provide a convenience store for the local community who would otherwise have to drive 5 miles or so into Trowbridge or Melksham.

Housed within the old village school building and staffed by around 70 volunteers who are organised by a salaried Manager and a management committee of eight local residents, the shop has been responsible for the renewal of community spirit in the village.
