Station House in Campsea Ashe

Station House Community Connections is a charitable Community Benefit Society formed to take on the lease of the disused Station House in Campsea Ashe (serving Wickham Market station). It plans to bring the house back to life by restoring the two-storey building to create a fully accessible waiting area with ticket machine and train information, hot-desk facilities with wifi, a café and meeting rooms – all set against a backdrop of historical significance through an Illustrated history of the East Suffolk Railway Line. Plus, there will be multi-user touch screen technology detailing info on local events, amenities, businesses, groups, history and culture. The Station House will focus on user experience “making its history part of its future” all while serving as a community hub for local residents.
