Description:

The society was established in 1938 as a farmer owned co-operative, for the purpose of collecting and processing milk. The creamery is situated in one of the most picturesque areas of North West Wales, the Llyn Peninsula, in the foot hills of Snowdonia. Famous for its breathtaking scenery and natural beauty.

Initially with 63 producer members, from whom churns of milk were collected daily, the co-op has grown from strength to strength over the years and now has its own fleet of road tankers that can be seen across Wales. The abolition of the Milk Marketing Board in 1994 was the beginning of a new era for the dairy industry. SCC made a decision at that time to purchase milk directly from its members. The following months proved to be an exciting and successful time. Indeed it was a profitable period with members receiving better prices for their milk than most other producers in the UK.
