Sheffield Energy Works

Sheffield Energy Works is a new Community Benefit Society, empowering residents of the Sheffield City Region (whether individuals, families or small businesses) to become the owners of clean energy assets.
We’re currently developing a number of projects, including our flagship decarbonisation model at Our Cow Molly. We’re excited to be working with local farmer Eddie Andrew to deliver two clean energy technologies at the farm, which will meet about 90% of the farm’s energy needs.
The technologies will be owned by members of Sheffield Energy Works, who will get to invest in local community-owned clean energy, support the decarbonisation of a brilliant local business, and inform how profits are back into the community.
