Saltire Seed

Has 16 members stretching from the Black Isle to the Borders. Markets 10,000t of seed potatoes annually, mainly of processing and crisping varieties. On 25 March 1992 a group of top quality seed potato growers came together to form a co-operative called Saltire Seed.

Right from the start, we knew we could only achieve our aim to become Scotland's Pre-eminent Provider Of Seed Potatoes by hard work, co-operation, adaptability and development. By following these ideals we are now well established and have become one of the main suppliers to Walkers Snack Foods.
