Rucksack Club

We are a group of like-minded individuals from all walks of life who share a common interest in adventure in the mountains. We number around 400 and are based mainly in the North West of England – although we have members spread throughout the globe. Additionally, we have a very active London section. We encourage prospective members who are enthusiastic and self-reliant in the hills, and enjoy all aspects of the club’s activities.

The club was founded in 1902 and has been at the forefront of developing climbing in the UK and beyond.
