New Barracks Tenant Management Co-operative

New Barracks Tenant Management Co-operative - A progressive community in a historic conservation area in the heart of Salford.

The co-operative was founded in 1987 and took on the task of refurbishing the houses and surrounding area in collaboration with Salford Council.
Co- operative members received extensive training as to how to manage day to day activities such as allocations, tenancy agreements, repairs etc. So as to involve as many residents as possible and engage their skills, sub-committees were also established.
