The LGV MH-2 Co-operative was formed in December 2013 to build four high head micro-hydro schemes in order to generate renewable electricity and thereby reduce the local community's reliance on national grid electricity and fossil fuels and to raise a community fund to build local resilience, create local employment opportunities and aid the community's transition to sustainability.
