Kirk Hill Coop

The Kirk Hill wind farm will be located near Kirkoswald in Ayrshire. Planning permission was given in October 2020 following consultation and assessment.

The area has a rich literary connection, being the setting for Robert Burns' poem, Tam O'Shanter. Views are available to the distinctive Ailsa Craig in the sea, which produces the stone for many curling rocks.

Made up of 8 turbines in windy west Scotland, Kirk Hill has the potential to power over 20,000 households and businesses with the cheapest and greenest electricity. It's now sold out and under construction.
