Keady Credit Union
Keady Credit Union was founded in October 1967, in a small room at rented premises in The Square, Keady. By November 1967 there were 114 members with a total share capital of £942 and loans to members totalling £312. The first paid part-time employee started in October 1970 and the first Part-time Manager was appointed in February 1973. As the Credit Union continued to grow, the decision was taken in 1977 to acquire the current premises where we continue to serve you, our members in an efficient, friendly and welcoming manner.
We currently have 5970 Adult members with a share capital in excess of £13 million and loans in excess of £4.4 million. Also we have 1250 Juvenile accounts with deposits in excess £729,000.
The efforts of those volunteers involved through the years have helped make Keady Credit Union what it is today – a vibrant, efficient, friendly and not for profit financial organisation.
