Joel Street Allotments
Eastcote
Ruislip-Northwood Co-operative Small Holding and Allotment Society (Joel Street Allotments) is a thriving Allotment Society in the heart of Northwood Hills, northwest London, in the northeast corner of the London Borough of Hillingdon. We have over 100 allotment holders, with plots in a variety of sizes. We not only rent out the allotment plots, but the two smallholdings; because of this, we are unique in the country.
The use of hosepipes is prohibited, however there are metered water butts on or near each plot. We also have mowers, strimmers,
and a rotivator for members to use on their plot.
We publish a quarterly newsletter, hold an annual BBQ, and run plant sales at local community events.
Our current affiliations are to the Royal Horticultural Society, the National Society of Allotment & Leisure Gardeners, and the Hillingdon
Allotment & Horticultural Federation. We are not a Council site, but are totally independent.
The day-to-day running of the society is the responsibility of a committee who are elected annually by the members.
While we currently have a small waiting list for plots, they do become available, and we are always happy to welcome new members
