Girvan Early Growers (Vegetables)

Girvan Early Growers (GEG) is a ware potato group in Ayrshire. It has six members and grows some 500 acres of early potatoes annually. Its unique location and climate means that GEG is supplying a niche market with a specialist product. The group has developed rapidly in recent years, and now owns its own processing and storage facilities. It has also spawned a sister society, Girvan Early Growers (Vegetables) that grows carrots and swedes, and makes further use of GEG's skills and resources
