Eldonian Community Based Housing Association

The Eldonian Community Based Housing Association was set up as a Housing Co-operative in 1983 by tenants from Eldon Street and Burlington Street. The homes of these residents were scheduled for demolition: this would have meant that the community would have been broken up and the people scattered to different parts of Merseyside.

In 1990, the Co-operative became a Community Based Housing Association. The Eldonian CBHA is registered with both the Housing Corporation and the Registrar of Friendly Societies, and is also a member of the National Housing Federation.
