Edinburgh Taxis 1925

Edinburgh Taxis 1925 is a member-owned co-operative at the heart of Edinburgh’s taxi trade. Established in 1925 as the Edinburgh Taxi Owners Association, the co-operative is today open to all workers and owns City Cabs Edinburgh Ltd and The Taxi Garage.

City Cabs is our flagship taxi brand and operates Edinburgh’s largest taxi network, with more than 500 vehicles serving the city.

The Taxi Garage was established to provide dedicated support to Edinburgh’s taxi trade. From our premises in Edinburgh’s West End, we provide garage services to the wider trade and operate a growing fleet of around 50 company-owned taxis.

Together, our businesses combine more than a century of co-operative heritage with continued investment in Edinburgh’s taxi industry, supporting our members, drivers and the travelling public.
