Community Counselling Co-operative

Community Counselling Cooperative (C.C.C.) was set up in 2012 to provide a high quality counselling service to meet the emotional and psychological needs of adults and children living in Tyne & Wear, including areas of deprivation.

We are a consortia of self-employed counsellors who work together on community projects in partnership with other organisations as well as undertaking individual private work. We are all qualified counsellors and members of the professional counselling body, BACP.

Being a cooperative, in practice, means that the counsellors themselves have an equal say – and a responsibility – in the running of the company.

Our aims are charitable. We seek to improve the well-being and esteem of our communities, enhance social cohesion and help reduce crime. We encourage individuals, local communities and partner organisations to become stakeholders in our projects and help to shape the areas of work we undertake.

We are a diverse group of counsellors, each with our own unique, modality-based way of working therapeutically. In this way we can offer specialised and differentiated support to clients.
