Social club
The club is situated close to the city centre and is known locally as "The Ex". Founded in 1921 by veterans of the First World War, it currently boasts over two thousand members.
It has four main areas; downstairs are the bar and the lounge while upstairs there is the Concert Room which hosts weekend entertainment, and the Cocktail Lounge which is ideal for meetings and private parties.
Live entertainment and bingo every Saturday and Sunday night in the Concert Room and there's Bingo every Friday evening.
Sports section with teams playing snooker. billiards, pool, darts, table bowls, whist and quizzing.
