Brontë Birthplace

In the heart of Thornton on the outskirts of the city of Bradford is the birthplace of the famous Brontës, Charlotte, Emily, Anne and their brother Branwell.

Sadly this important building in the Brontë story stands empty and dilapidated. The Brontë Birthplace Campaign plans to buy the terrace house and open it as a community and educational space where people can learn and celebrate Thornton’s famous literary family.
