Bristol Community Ferry Boats

Bristol Community Ferry Boats Ltd is a Community Benefit Society that keeps the city’s iconic blue-and-yellow ferries running for Bristol. Formed in 2013 after local people came together to save the service, we’re owned by nearly 800 community shareholders — most of them Bristol residents.

We operate for public good, not for profit. All income is reinvested into maintaining our heritage fleet, paying our crews a Real Living Wage, and providing safe, reliable, and sustainable transport on the harbour. Our ferries connect people, support local businesses, and keep Bristol’s waterways alive for everyone.
