Description:

The Bournville Works Housing Society was founded in 1919 to provide houses for employees of Cadbury Brothers. The Cadbury company provided a large proportion of the capital. 40 acres of land were leased from the Bournville Village Trust and by 1928 had built approximately 350 houses. The Society now has 313 properties.

In January 2011 the society joined the Bournville Village Trust Group and became recognised as charitable in March 2011. The Society continues to be managed by a committee of tenant led volunteers.
