Barnes Country Market

Held every Friday morning at the Barnes Community Association's building, Rose House, the Barnes Country Market is run by several local producers under the auspices of the national Country Markets Association.

The market sells a lot more than cakes - although it has to be said the cakes are fantastic. While there is plenty of classic British cuisine on offer - with fish pie and shepherd's pie being customer favourites - there are also brilliant ethnic foods including curries, noodle dishes and spring rolls.

There are delicious preserves and chutneys and, in the summer months, plants, garden produce and cut flowers are popular. The Christmas range is legendary - check here near the time for an order form.
