Toby Sandison is a Development Officer with Community Shares Scotland, which provides fully-funded support to any Scottish communities wishing to issue community shares.

Thanks to funding from the Scottish Government and the National Lottery Community Fund, the programme's support is completely free to access. The team sits within the Development Trusts Association Scotland (DTAS), a sponsoring body managing two sets of model rules well suited to Scottish projects.

The community share offers Toby has supported include:

- The Old Forge, a pub in Knoydart, Highland

- Ballantrae Community Pub, a pub and hotel in Ballantrae, South Ayrshire

- Isle of Eigg Brewery

- Common Ground Against Homelessness, a housing project in Edinburgh

- Loch Ness Hub, a community travel hub in Drumnadrochit, Highland

Toby is Licensed by the Community Shares Unit to award the Community Shares Standard Mark.
