Jo has been providing support and training co-operative, community businesses and mutual organisations since 2000.
She has worked with a variety of different co-operative and community owned enterprises throughout the country ranging from employee buyouts of private business to the development of community owned farms, leisure, and cultural enterprises. She provides support and advice on issues, such as ownership and engagement, governance, business planning, finance and access to investment. Jo is a licensed community shares practitioner.
In that time, she has developed a detailed knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of communities and the effect that has on how they operate and develop.
Her working knowledge of the importance of community ownership and engagement, and the skills required to put the theory into practice, is valued by a wide variety of clients.
