Alison has worked in the heritage and cultural sector for 25 years particularly around project development, capacity building, community engagement and fundraising
Alison became a community shares practitioner as she wanted to ensure the projects she worked with were considering the option and benefits of community ownership and investment through community shares. Her particular expertise is heritage led regeneration, high street regeneration, bringing vacant historic buildings back into use.
Her work has included range of projects from community libraries, arts centres, community spaces, parks and gardens to churches, museums and community hubs with shops, pubs or overnight accommodation.
