Alex has been chair of Ekopia Ltd since its creation in 2001 and has direct experience of various community share issues.
Ekopia currently has £2 million invested in local projects, including retail, electricity from wind and PV, and holiday accommodation. There are also investments in several different affordable housing ventures including a housing co-op and a project with a community allocations policy that has local authority support.
Alex lectures and presents workshops on a variety of sustainability and community development themes and has been a Director of Development Trusts Association Scotland since 2003.
