Co-operatives UK has written to Lord Victor Adebowale, Chair of the Adebowale Commission on Social Investment, congratulating him and fellow commissioners on the publication of their final report
In our letter to Lord Victor and his fellow commissioners we welcomed the inclusion of the following in the report:
- local support to develop social enterprise and #coops
- institutional investment in community shares
- diversity and democracy in investment institutions
We would also like to see stronger emphasis on the role social investment and enterprise can play creating a more democratic and distributive economy.
