Legislative proposals for co-operative capital raising

Following a roundtable on capital at Co-op Congress in June 2023, and in preparation for the Law Commission review and the general election, we convened a working group comprising members and experts, to agree clear asks and positions on amending capital legislation and the policy of the FCA Mutuals Team.

Following deliberation and consultation with the wider sector, Co-operatives UK with the capital working group is now presenting proposals for legislative reform.
