Webinar: How can your co-op connect with the global co-op movement?
Event
Join our panel from across the co-operative movement for this webinar on Monday 22 November, 2-3.30pm.
About the webinar
In early December co-operators from around the world will gather in Seoul and online to discuss co-operative identity. But how can UK co-ops proactively feed into and draw on the global network of co-ops?
You may know that there are 3 million co-ops around the world. But did you know that there is a UK-based group of co-operators that meets regularly to work on our international activity? Representatives from different parts of the UK movement discuss:
- Co-ordinating responses to international crises such as supporting Indian co-ops devastated by Covid or the Australian bush fires
- Opportunities for collaboration between producer networks and primary co-ops in different countries and continents
- How co-ops can contribute to the UN sustainable goals, and measure impact on a global scale.
- Feeding into established international networks such as EuroCoop (representing consumer co-ops across 19 countries), CICOPA (representing worker and social interest co-ops across 33 countries), Co-ops Europe and the International Co-operative Alliance
Come along to this free interactive Q&A webinar to hear from some of the International Co-operative Working Group members, learn about the remit of the group and how YOU can feed in your ideas for shaping the global co-operative movement.
