Networking reception: Call for a Co-operative Scotland
Event
This FREE event is an opportunity for Co‑operatives UK members to meet and connect with MSPs as part of our Call for A Co‑operative Scotland ahead of the 2026 Scottish Parliament elections.
Spaces for this event are limited. We have closed bookings for now as we have reached capacity. To join the waiting list, email [email protected].
A Call for a Co-operative Scotland is our policy platform that was co‑created with Scottish co‑operatives. It sets out what our sector has to offer in Scotland in the run up to the 2026 Holyrood election.
We are calling on the next Scottish Government to commit to co‑operative growth and work with us on the following priorities:
- Education to support awareness raising of co‑operatives and their benefits
- Implement the recommendations of the Inclusive and Democratic Business Models Review to strengthen the role of co‑operatives within Scotland’s economy
- Kick‑start our ability to invest by providing seed funding for the sector to create co‑operative development institutions
- Unlock investment into co‑operatives by bolstering the sector’s access to finance with a long-term strategy
This event – sponsored by Lorna Slater MSP – provides an opportunity for Co‑operatives UK members to network and meet MSPs. It takes place at Scottish Parliament on Wednesday 7 January.
Spaces are limited, so please book now to avoid disappointment. Catering will be provided. The final deadline for booking a place is Monday 1 December. Email [email protected] with any questions.
