Join The Co-operative Heritage Trust and Sites of Fracture Project for a day of conversation and discovery exploring the radical past, present and future of co-operation – from fields and food systems to archives and alternative economies.

This study day explores the role of co-operatives within and beyond capitalism, with a focus on their histories in food production, land, and the natural world. Hosted by the Co-operative Archive and the Sites of Fracture team, it invites discussion on how historical insight can inform today’s co-operative movement and the preservation of its archives.

Agenda

  • 11:00 - 11:30  Arrivals and welcoming remarks
  • 11:30 - 13:00  Archive tour and 'document encounter' session
  • 13:00 - 14:00  Lunch and small-group discussion
  • 14:00 - 15:30  Roundtable discussion with Q and A

This event is part of a broader Arts & Humanities Research Council-funded Sites of Fracture project.
