International Credit Union Day (ICUD) celebrates the spirit of the global credit union movement. It is a time to reflect upon the credit union movement's history; to promote its achievements; recognise hard work; and share member experiences.
The goal is to raise awareness around the tremendous work credit unions and other financial co-operatives are doing around the world and give members the opportunity to get more engaged. The day includes fundraisers, open houses, contests, picnics, volunteering and parades.
The 74th anniversary of International Credit Union Day is set for Thursday, October 20 (2022). This year and is themed: "Empower Your Financial Future with a Credit Union."
