International Co-operative Development (ICD) is one of the key themes of the College's strategy, but what does ICD look like in practice, and how does it link with co-operative education?
This event will explore how International Co-operative Development (ICD) projects in the Global South can improve people's lives, creating sustainable, fair and equitable communities.
Building on the experience of the Co-operative College and its partner organisations in leading and facilitating ICD initiatives over many years, a panel of international experts will consider and debate a number of issues, including:
- How is ICD different from a more traditional 'foreign aid' approach to international development?
- What does good practice in ICD look like?
- How do we keep diversity and inclusion at the core of ICD principles and outcomes?
