Discover Co-ops: Housing Co-ops

Join Tiziana O'Hara in conversation with Niall Mulholland as they discuss housing co-ops.

Niall grew up in Portglenone, co Antrim, and lived in Belfast before moving to London in 1997. He has lived in council housing and a housing association in east and south London and been active in tenants associations during that time. Since 2007 Niall and his family have lived in Longlife Housing Cooperative in Newham, east London (64 units/homes). Niall has been a member of its elected managing committee for that period. He is currently the chair of Longlife. Niall is also an executive member of the London Federation of Housing Cooperatives, which provides training and support for London’s several hundred housing coops, along with regular forums and conferences for housing coops and tenant led housing.
