Worker Co-op Weekend 2021

About the event

Designed and run by worker co-ops for worker co-ops, this annual gathering brings people together to share experiences and inspiration, to develop strategies and to have a lot of fun. A low-cost, back-to-basics event with camping or dorm accommodation, it aims to be as open and accessible as possible.

The programme consists of practical sessions designed and run by worker co-ops. There’s vegan friendly catering with food sourced from worker co-ops – as well as plenty of camaraderie around the campfire.

The Worker Co-op Weekend 2021 will run as an in-person event. In the event of covid restrictions forcing the cancellation/postponement of this event, full ticket refunds will be offered.  

• Series of fringe events (hosted by Solidfund) taking place during the day at The Selgars Mill on Friday 23 July
• Followed by Worker Co-op Weekend (hosted by Co-operatives UK) starting from 6pm on Friday 23 July through to midday on Sunday 25 July

Covid-19 safety rules 

A majority of Covid-19 restrictions were lifted on Monday 19 July, however we appreciate that not everyone will feel comfortable, therefore all attendees are expected to:

• Take a lateral flow test before travelling to the event and only attend if your result is negative.
• If you test positive we recommend that you get a PCR test done and if you still test positive then you will need to self-isolate and not attend the event.
• Keep 1 meter apart when indoors.
• Wash hands and sanitise regularly. 
• We advise you wear a face mask or covering when indoors.

About the venue

The Selgars Mill campus comprises a beautiful converted 19th-century mill house with cottages, set in eight acres of meadows and woodland in the Culm valley in Mid Devon.

How much does it cost?

We have various ticket prices.

1 night accommodation - Thursday evening & Friday daytime (no meals provided)

• Camping (1 night, Thursday only) - £40 + VAT for members and £58 + VAT for non-members

3 night accommodation - Thursday evening through to Sunday midday (meals provided on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday)

• Camping (Thursday, Friday & Saturday) - £100 + VAT for members and £145 + VAT for non-members

2 night accommodation - Friday daytime through to Sunday midday (meals provided on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday)
