Future Co-ops 2023: From Crisis to Co-op
Event
Co-operative Futures 'From Crisis to Co-op' conference aims to investigate what role co-ops can play in supporting people through the cost-of-living crisis.
Co-ops have a role to play in easing the situation but they are not always sure how to translate that into action.
This two-day event will explore ways the crisis is affecting people: fuel poverty; access to decent homes; food; digital poverty; and what co-operative solutions there are. This year the opening session will be preceded by a showing of 'From Below', a film celebrating the mutual aid projects during COVID-19, and how they are moving forward to help people in the future.
Who should attend?
- Social change campaigners
- Members of co-operatives
- Co-operative development workers
- Worker co-op members
- Members of the Co-op Party

We will be hearing from anti-poverty campaigners about their work and what the co-operative movement can do to learn from and work with them. The conference will aim to build connections, hear inspiring case studies of co-operative solutions with speakers and contributors including:

This year, the conference will be preceded by 'From Below' a feature length documentary celebrating the mutual aid projects during COVID-19, and how they are moving forward to help people in the future. See the full programme here.
