Co-operation among co-operatives is the sixth of seven principles which help co-operatives put their values into practice. They can be followed by any community minded organisation, whether they are formally a co-op or not.
Put Principle 6 into action and join Co-operatives South East and Mutual Aid in Sussex for a meeting and social get together between 6pm and 9pm, Wednesday 6 June in the Brighthelm Centre cafe. Free food will be provided.
This event is FREE but please register via eventbrite to enable the tracking of numbers.
There will be a chance to introduce yourself, your project or business to request advice or support and also provide those same services to others. Anything can be asked for – whether it's a computer, the number of a good plumber, or advice on taxes.
You will also hear about the results of the MAIS/Co-ops South East survey in brief, including what support co-ops and community organisations want as well as initial ideas on future training opportunities based on the survey results. If you have not filled in the survey yet you are invited to answer the 10 questions here.
There will also be time for socialising with a number of attendees heading to the pub afterwards to carry on the conversations.
Mutual Aid In Sussex (MAIS) has been supporting and promoting co-ops, and anyone interested in living or working more co-operatively since 2015.It helps co-operatives, small ethical business, community groups, and other like-minded people, by providing a free platform where mutual aid and support can be more easily achieved through face-to-face meet-ups and online conversations.
