International Co-operatives Day - Celebrating Co-operatives in Hebden Bridge

Commemorating the story of Hebden Bridge’s famous Nutclough Mill Co-operative during Co-ops Fortnight and International Co-operatives Day.

Everybody's welcome. Just show up if you love co-ops or are curious about them! There's lots of co-op experts to talk to.

11:00am   Rendezvous at Tourist Information Centre. Walk up Keighley Road;

11.20am   Unveiling of plaque commemorating the achievements of HB Fustian Manufacturing Co-operative Ltd, at Nutclough Mill by the Mayor of Hebden Royd Cllr Carole Stow;

11.30am   Unveiling of plaque commemorating the life of Joseph Greenwood on his old house, Nutclough Cottage, Keighley Road, by Alan Greenwood (great, great grandson);

11.40am   Move to Sandy Gate burial ground.  Flowers to be laid on the graves of Joseph Greenwood and Jesse Gray;

12 noon    End of event.  Participants are invited to retire to the Fox and Goose co-operative pub (from about 12.30pm onwards).
