Co-op Connections Study Visit - Suma

Join us for a study visit to Suma Wholefoods - one of Europe's largest worker-owned co-operatives - in Elland near Leeds.

Suma's Ross Hodgson will shed some light how the equal pay co-operative combines its hugely successful vegetarian food operations with egalitarian processes across its workforce. Discover how a flat management structure and equal pay across the entire organisation works in practice.

Explore the world of Suma at this FREE Co-op Connections study visit on Thursday, 12 September, 2pm to 5pm.

All Suma’s 190 worker members earn the same for a 35-hour, five-day week, plus bonuses and shares. 'From the 26-year-old newbie to the 65-year-old who has been with Suma since its birth as a co-op in 1977, there are no exceptions,' Helen Pidd, Guardian

The study visit will include a tour, presentations and opportunity to speak to worker members.

FULLY BOOKED - We have reached our maximum capacity for this session. If you'd like to be added to our waiting list, please email [email protected]
