Resources for new members

Creating value for members

We've put together a range of resources that recently incorporated businesses and our newest members tell us are of most value.

Here you'll find resources and advice that newly incorporated organisations and those in their early years will find particularly useful. If there's any advice or training you need, but can't find here or by searching our site, please do get in touch.

Role-specific advice and guides

We've a range of guides, resources and toolkits specifically for co-operative directors and co-operative secretaries.

Governance and finance

A really valuable resource, our finance toolkit covers everything from template accounts to PAYE to audit requirements. And our governance advice and resources are widely valued and extensive.

  • Guide to good governance - an overview of good governance (who to run a success co-operative). This guide covers people and performance; policies and processes; rules and regulations; and lots more
  • Finance toolkit - A comprehensive set of resources to help co-operatives understand their accounting and financial reporting requirements

Every new organisation has a legal duty file their accounts and any annual returns or confirmation statements to the relevant registrar. Familiarise yourself with your registrar and the options for filing.
