Co-operatives UK has published a supplement to the Handbook of Co-operative and Community Benefit Society Law.
The Handbook, launched in 2014, is the only comprehensive legal textbook on society law. The Supplement covers developments in law and practice since the Handbook was published.
Author Ian Snaith said: "It is a vital authoritative legal resource for anyone advising or working with co-operatives, housing associations, credit unions and other mutuals.
"Anyone who already owns a copy of the Handbook needs the Supplement to access the most up-to-date information about legal and regulatory developments."
The supplement focuses on a number of areas including:
• An analysis of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)'s role and its November 2015 guidance;
• News of new case law such as on directors’ duties, informal unanimous decision-making in societies and achieving one member one vote in a company limited by shares
• Guidance on the regulatory rules for credit unions in the PRA's Credit Union Rule Book
The Supplement is available in paperback and ePDF priced £37.50. To order a copy click here. The Handbook remains available in hardback (£195) and ePUB/ePDF (£95).
