Co‑op Fortnight place Monday 19 June to Sunday 2 July.
This Co-op Fortnight we celebrated how co‑operatives offer an altogether different way to do business, to support communities and people. We also crowdfunded a big advertising campaign to reach more people than ever during the fortnight.
What happened during Co-op Fortnight?
- FREE RESOURCES: We created an array of graphics, sample copy and posters – including ready-made, or 'empty belly' options – meaning co-operatives could personalise with their own photo and/or message.
- SHARING STORIES. We worked with co-ops to generate inspiring stories to showcase how co‑ops make a difference to people, communities and the wider economy for the altogether different campaign. We shared these stories through the Reach PLC websites; other media coverage; on the Co-operatives UK social media pages and using #CoopFortnight –Twitter | Instagram | LinkedIn | Facebook
- ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN: We worked with a team of people at Reach PLC who fell in love with the idea of co-ops.They worked with us to reach more people than ever during Co-op Fortnight. We crowdfunded an altogether different advertising campaign and Reach offered reduced-rates to co-ops from £250 upwards.
Reach PLC is the UK's largest commercial, national and regional news publisher.
What was on offer?
Something for everyone! We invited co-ops to join a huge crowdfunded advertising campaign to celebrate Co-op Fortnight like never before. Because we crowdfunded a campaign, Reach PLC lowered its prices making it more accessible to co-operatives. Our Altogether Different page will showcase all the stories during the Fortnight.
