Webinar: Shariah Compliant Community Shares

Community share offers are increasingly used by communities across the UK to raise finance to save and secure vital services and assets. To date over £200 million has been raised this way.

To make this model accessible to Muslim communities across the UK, we have developed new model rules and resources to support communities to run Shariah Compliant Community Share Offers.

This 1.5 hour webinar will cover the new model rules that have been developed and the detailed guidance on Shariah Compliant Community Shares. There will be opportunities for questions at the end. Slides and guidance materials will be made available after the event.

About the trainers

Mufti Faraz Adam is the Executive Director and Head of Shariah Advisory at Amanah Advisors, an independent, global advisory firm based in Leicester. They take a holistic and ethical approach to enabling Shariah Compliant finance solutions. 

Isla McCulloch is the Community Shares Standards Manager at Co-operatives UK. Isla leads on the Community Shares Standard Mark and practitioner training and licensing scheme.
