Meiosis

MEIOSIS was established in 1989 by the major soft fruit and tree fruit propagators, together with leading soft fruit growers and marketing groups in the UK. In the early years, one of our tasks was to administer the funding, trialling and commercialisation of the strawberry breeding programme at East Malling Research, Kent in the UK. Building on a proven record of effective operation, we have since been able to develop strong ongoing relationships with other fruit breeding programmes, taking responsibility for producing suitable plant material, arranging and overseeing trials, and protecting and commercialising successful selections world-wide. Our parent company, the Nuclear Stock Association, formed in 1954 is charged with the production of high health plants for supply to licensed propagators
